    Potters confirm Pericard exit

    20 May 2009 - 14:08:20

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has confirmed that striker Vincent Pericard will leave the club this summer at the end of his current contract.

The 26-year-old has scored four times in 45 appearances for the Potters, with his time at the Britannia Stadium hit by a number of injury problems.

Pulis told The Sentinel: "He's a smashing lad and he goes with my very best wishes for the future.

"Even though he didn't play that many games, he was one of those players helping with our early development a few years back.

"It's just a pity he had his fitness problems and what-not.

"But behind the scenes, he was always first-class and played his part as a member of a growing squad."

Pericard initially moved to England to join Portsmouth, while he also spent time on loan with Sheffield United, Plymouth Argyle, Southampton and Millwall.
