Potters agree Shawcross fee

Stoke City have agreed a transfer fee with Manchester United to sign Ryan Shawcross on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old has impressed during a loan spell at the Britannia Stadium, scoring seven goals in 27 appearances for Tony Pulis' side so far this season.

Pulis had already extended Shawcross' loan move until the end of the season but a permanent move has now been agreed.

The defender, who is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer, is expected to cost the Potters more than £1.2million.
