    Potters add two more

    03 Aug 2007 - 16:50:55

Stoke City have completed a double swoop by snapping up Leeds United striker Richard Cresswell for an undisclosed fee and Sunderland defender Stephen Wright on a five-month loan deal.

Cresswell has signed a three-year contract with the Potters, who moved quickly to land the former Preston forward after he failed a medical at Hull City earlier this week.

Of Wright's capture, first-team coach Mark O'Connor told the club's official website: "Stephen's another very good player.

"He's like Andy Griffin. He can play in both full-back roles, is aggressive and can get up and down the pitch.

"We still need more faces but we're gradually getting there. By the time Cardiff comes I'm hoping we've tied up a few more players."

Charlton Athletic defender Jonathan Fortune could be the next player to move to the Britannia Stadium after the two clubs agreed a transfer fee for the 26-year-old.
