Player Details

Peter Crouch started his career as a junior with Tottenham Hotspur, but never made the grade in his first spell at the club. It was only after developing his career elsewhere that he returned to White Hart Lane as a fully fledged first-team player in the summer of 2009, linking up once more with his former Portsmouth colleague Jermain Defoe. He continued to feature regularly in the team during 2010-11 although he found goals hard to come by in the Premier League. It was a different story in the Champions? League where he fired in seven goals in nine appearances including a hat-trick in the home game against Young Boys. Easily recognisable by his tall, slim frame, there is much more to Peter's game than his height, for although he is very effective in the air he also possesses great ball control and speed of thought and action. Peter made his debut for England against Colombia in May 2005 and now has over 40 caps for his country. His tally of 22 goals represents more than one in every two games and includes a hat-trick against Jamaica in June 2006. Peter departed from Spurs at the end of August 2011 and joined Stoke City.
