Olofinjana linked with Monaco

Stoke City midfielder Seyi Olofinjana looks set to leave the Britannia Stadium before the start of the new season and sign for AS Monaco.

The Nigeria international has struggled to break into Tony Pulis' first-team plans following his £3million transfer from Wolves last summer.

The Potters continue to be linked with Sunderland's Dean Whitehead who would be the ideal replacement for Olofinjana.

Meanwhile, Mama Sidibe has flown home from Stoke's training camp in Austria following the premature birth of his baby daughter.

Tom Soares has rejoined his team-mates after he was given time off earlier this week following the birth of his first child.

Stoke are scheduled to play German outfit St Pauli in a pre-season friendly on Friday.
