Oldham capture youngster McDonald

Oldham Athletic have signed young centre-back Rod McDonald after he was released by Stoke City.The 18-year-old joins on a one-year contract after impressing during a series of trial games for the club. Paul Dickov told the club website: "Rod is still a baby, but is big in stature. He is still learning his trade and is raw but we see a lot we can work on."
