No new Potters deal for Faye
18 May 2010 - 14:15:04
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has released Senegal international Amady Faye and is also willing to listen to offers for Andy Griffin and Michael Tonge.
However, the Potters are set to open talks with Salif Diao about extending his stay at the Britannia Stadium.
"I would like to place on record my thanks to Amdy for his efforts during his time with the club," said Pulis.
"He was an important member of the squad during his two years here, especially during our first campaign in the Premier League when he played an important part in helping keep the club in the top flight.
"We are also talking to Salif and his representatives about keeping him with us next season in some sort of capacity. He is fantastic to have around the place and he is a very important character in the dressing room.
"He also has some very good contacts in the game and it would be beneficial to us if we could work closely with him to hopefully uncover a few potential stars of the future.
"I'm also open to offers for several players, including Griff and Tongey. I'm not kicking any of these players out of the club but, if offers come in for any of them, then we will speak to those involved."
