Nervous wait for Sidibe
Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe faces an anxious wait to discover the severity of his knee injury. The Mali forward sustained the problem during the warm-up ahead of Monday's reserve-team fixture with Aston Villa. Two separate scans have proved inconclusive and Sidibe now faces further tests to determine whether his season is over. He said: "We don't know whether it's torn or ruptured, but they think it might be the cruciate ligament. "If it's only a slight tear then I could be back before the end of the season, but if it's ruptured then it will be months." It doesn't feel too good, but we'll see what the next specialist says. "They're thinking about putting a camera in there to see if what the damage is but if it's nothing then it will take three weeks to get over the operation."
