Jones in running for Stoke return
Published : 27 Aug 2010 11:38:00

Kenwyne Jones has an "outside chance" of returning to Stoke's side in Saturday's daunting Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Jones, who sustained an ankle injury on the opening day of the season at Wolves, has been in light training and could be involved at some stage in west London. Liam Lawrence may also have recovered from his groin injury but it remains to be seen whether he will be considered as he mulls over a move to Portsmouth as part of the Marc Wilson deal. Stoke are otherwise at full strength apart from Mama Sidibe, who has ruptured his Achilles tendon but could return sooner than expected at Christmas. Potters (from): Begovic, Huth, Shawcross, Higginbotham, Delap, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Lawrence, Jones, Fuller, Tuncay, Soares, Pugh, Faye, Collins, Wilkinson, Sorensen, Walters.
