Injury could end Davies' loan

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell could let Andrew Davies return to Stoke City after confirming that the defender may be sidelined for at least six weeks.

The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Bramall Lane but suffered a hip injury during Monday's 2-2 draw with Barnsley.

Blackwell told the Sheffield Star: "It could be a four to six-week job.

"If that's the case, he'll go back and finish here because his loan has only got five weeks left."

Davies has featured in six games for the Blades since moving to south Yorkshire earlier this season.
