Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop is hopeful of tying up a transfer to Premier League new boys Stoke City in the next few weeks.
The 25-year-old Hungarian spent a very brief spell on loan with the Potters last season and is keen to move on from the Black Cats in search of regular first-team football.
He told Sky Sports: "I can confirm Stoke City want to sign me.
"The talks are going very well and if everything continues to go well then my future will be decided in the next two weeks.
"I do want to leave Sunderland in order to have first-team football.
"We still haven't talked about my Stoke contract as first the two clubs need agree a fee for me, but I'm very optimistic."
Fulop has made just six appearances during his 18-month stay at the Stadium of Light, spending the first half of last season on loan at Leicester City.
He moved to England in the summer of 2004 to join Tottenham Hotspur, while he has also played for Chesterfield and Coventry City.
