Winger subbed as precaution in friendly Boothen Roar Player of the Season Matthew Etherington was withdrawn from last nights friendly defeat at Pride Park last night as a precaution, and there are no major worries over the niggle that saw him subbed off. Etherington, 28, was withdrawn just after half time after feeling his groinfollowing the resumption of play. Tony Pulis stated after the game though that it isn't a serious injury and that he just felt no reason to risk any aggravation of a niggle in a friendly. The news will be very welcome to Potters supporters as the influential midfielder hopes to get back to full fitness and ready for the big kick off on August 14th.
