Dickinson open to Leeds return

Carl Dickinson is open to returning to Leeds United on loan after failing to break into Stoke City's first team. The left-back enjoyed a successful spell at Elland Road last season, making seven League One starts before being recalled. Dickinson is frustrated at kicking his heels on the sidelines at the Britannia Stadium and is looking for another temporary move to secure first-team football. The 22-year-old is keen on returning to Leeds, but is unsure whether Whites manager Simon Grayson needs him as he has three defenders vying for the role. Spoilt for choiceAndy Hughes currently occupies the role with Ben Parker recovering from injury, while youngster Aidy White is waiting in the wings. "If I'm not playing at Stoke, then I need to be playing somewhere, especially after a frustrating season last season," Dickinson told The Sentinel. "Hopefully the gaffer will let me go out and get a number of games under my belt. I'm not sure if Leeds are still interested. "I would love to play in the Championship but of course I would be interested in Leeds again. "Everyone can see what they are doing in League One and, if something was to happen there, hopefully I can be a part of it."
