Deal wait for Duberry

Stoke City skipper Michael Duberry says he is in no hurry to discuss a new deal with the Potters, despite being out of contract at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old centre-half has been a key figure for City this term as they chase a play-off spot, but Duberry is relaxed about the future.

He told The Sentinel: "There's been no talks on contracts. Those talks have been a pain in the bum for me over the years.

"If you play well, the rewards will come. When you think of the rewards first, then your football suffers.

"I have come here for success and want to see out my career at the top level, ideally with Stoke. Hopefully, the club's ambition matches mine."

Meanwhile, the Potters have handed a trial to Polish centre-back Marcin Wasilewski, who currently plays in his homeland with Lech Poznan.
