City hitman after new deal

Potters star wants to see out his contract at the Britannia Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller has told of his desire to remain at the club for the remainder of his career. 31-year-old Fuller has 12 months left on his current deal and reportedly came close to joining Sunderland during the last transfer window but the Jamaican now claims he wants to see out the final years of his career with the Potters. Fuller, a £500,000 signing from Southampton in 2006, has played more games for Stoke than any other player in the current squad(190) and also scored more Potters goals than anyone else in the current squad(49). This is despite City being warned off him when they signed the striker, being told he will struggle to play any decent amount of games due to a long standing knee injury. Fuller has become an iconic member in the clubs history after helping the club to gain promotion to the Premier League, as joint top scorer with 15 goals in the promotion campaign, and then keeping City there, top scoring in the clubs first two seasons in the top flight. The magician, who has also netted the Potters goal of the season on three occasions, is currently out injured after rupturing an achilles away at Aston Villa in March.
