Icelandic footballer Bynjar Gunnarsson began his career in 1995 playing for KR Reykjavic in Iceland. He stayed there until 1997 and made 54 appearances in the time he was there. He then moved to Norwegian team Vålerenga but after a year moved again to Örgryte IS in Sweden. In 1999 Stoke City paid a club- record fee of 600,000 pounds for Bynjar and in the four years he was there he made 158 appearances scoring 19 goals. Then in 2003 he moved to Nottingham Forest on a free transfer. He signed for Watford in 2004 after being released by Nottingham and in his forst season made an impressive 43 appearances.
