Jonathan Woodgate is optimistic his injury problems are a thing of the past after making his Stoke debut over the weekend.[LNB] The former Tottenham centre-back has joined the Potters on an initial one-year deal in a bid to revive his career following a succession of fitness nightmares.[LNB]Woodgate made his first appearance for Stoke in their 1-0 pre-season defeat to Aldershot and came through unscathed, having previously not played since February.[LNB]Manager Tony Pulis had always planned to substitute the ex-Leeds star after the hour mark and had hinted he may not be fit for Thursday's Europa League match against Hadjuk Split.[LNB]But Woodgate said in the Daily Mirror: "The physios have worked me hard and will keep on doing so. Hopefully it will benefit me for the rest of the season."[LNB]He added: "I had no problems at all, it is all good. I have got 60 minutes under my belt, so it's in the bank now."
