Wilson has Cup score to settle

Stoke midfielder Marc Wilson is determined to put last season's FA Cup final heartbreak behind him as his new club go in search of a place in the last eight on Saturday. Wilson was a regular in the Portsmouth team last season and played in their semi-final victory at Wembley but missed the showpiece final with Chelsea because of injury. The 23-year-old has not given up hope of putting things right with the Potters, who he joined in the summer, and victory over League One Brighton at the Britannia Stadium at the weekend would be another step towards that. "It was heartbreaking, that's the only way I can describe it," he said of last year's cup experience. "To have played in all the other games, including the semi-final at Wembley, made it even harder for me. "As a youngster growing up you dream of walking up the stairs at Wembley to lift the FA Cup and to have that chance taken away from you, just like I did last year, is gut-wrenching. "We have good players here and we are confident if we play to our potential then we should win the game, but Brighton will come here confident because they have been doing very well this season."
