Whitehead: Stoke confidence sky high

Stoke midfielder Dean Whitehead believes they are ready to move to the next level under Tony Pulis, who he feels has "done remarkably well".

The Potters have established themselves in the Premier League over the last few seasons after winning promotion from the Championship.

Stoke are currently in seventh spot in the table after going on an unbeaten five game run and Whitehead feels they can consolidate as a top-half team.

"The club is really pushing on again this year, you only have to look at the strength and depth of the squad," Whitehead told the club's official website.

"The gaffer has done remarkably well over the last few years and he is desperate to keep things moving forward.

"The players all feel exactly the same, we know we have something good going on and we are all desperate to bring more success here. The confidence in the dressing room is sky high at the moment."
