Stoke forward Jon Walters will make his first start for the Republic of Ireland in their Nations Cup match against Wales on Tuesday. The 26-year-old will line-up alongside Wolves' Kevin Doyle for only his second appearance for his country, having made his debut as a substitute in their last international against Norway in November. Walters has had an impressive start to his career with the Barclays Premier League club, having joined from Ipswich in August, with six goals - including both in the 2-0 FA Cup third round replay victory over Cardiff last month.
