Mark Robins admits talk of a Barnsley bid for out-of-favour Stoke City striker James Beattie is "pure speculation".[LNB] The 32-year-old striker is expected to leave the Britannia Stadium this summer after falling out with Potters boss Tony Pulis.[LNB]Beattie has been heavily linked with a move to West Brom - but his wages could be a stumbling block for Roberto Di Matteo's promoted Baggies.[LNB]Robins admits Beattie is way out of the Tykes' price wage, both in terms of transfer fee and personal terms, and said: "I've not tried to get him - that one is pure speculation."
