Tuncay must face music - Pulis

Stoke boss Tony Pulis does not believe Tuncay's reaction to being substituted against Bolton will have gone down well with his team-mates.[LNB] Stoke were beaten 2-1 by Bolton at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday but they only had themselves to blame after missing a host of chances whilst 1-0 up.[LNB]Tuncay was arguably the most culpable after hitting the post from eight yards following a Matthew Etherington centre, and the Turkey forward was replaced by Ricardo Fuller shortly after.[LNB]Tuncay's response was to head straight down the tunnel, something not uncommon for the 28-year-old, and it did not go down well with the Stoke fans, who booed the former Middlesbrough star.[LNB]Pulis was not fussed by Tuncay's reaction but the reaction of the crowd did not surprise him, and he questioned how the players would react too.[LNB]"Players have egos, and players, especially from abroad and from different cultures, have different ways of showing their emotions," Pulis said.[LNB]"You have to accept that, but whether the lads do or not, he has to stay in that dressing room."[LNB]He added: "I can understand the crowd (booing). This club has been very united over the last few years, the group of players and supporters together and I think they appreciate it if the team is having a go.[LNB]"Tunny is different but he has to go into the dressing room and face the players afterwards. The lads won't be too happy, irrespective of where he is from.[LNB]"They have got this spirit which is very special and they expect him to be the same."[LNB]Pulis was more disappointed, however, to see his team squander a host of opportunities and throw away three points.[LNB]"It's one of those games. I've been in football long enough and been through some of those experiences, but it's very disappointing for us," he added.[LNB]"We had the opportunities and the chances. We needed the second goal really.[LNB]"They had two good efforts in the second half just after half-time that went across the face of the goal.[LNB]"But when you look at what we had, the chances and the opportunities, the game should have been over."
