Terry defends physical approach

John Terry has backed the physical approach of some of Chelsea's Premier League opponents and believes teams must be "prepared for a scrap".

This weekend will see the Blues travel to Blackburn, a side which, along with Wolves and Stoke, have come under fire of late for their physical approach.

Tough-tackling Blues captain Terry, however, feels the recent criticism directed at teams such as Rovers is unjustified.

"What has been said about teams like Blackburn, Wolves and Stoke is very unfair," Terry said in The Sun.

"We can't expect to go to Ewood Park and pick up three points just because we're Chelsea Football Club.

"First and foremost we've got to go there and have a fight with them. We have to be prepared for a scrap."
