Rovers fixture gives time for reflection on Blackburn supporter who lost his life in this fixture last season In February Stoke welcomed Blackburn Rovers to the Britannia Stadium, the game ended 3-0 but that was insignificant to a lot of people, especially Rovers fans there that day, as a young man lost his life. Whatever the circumstances were, reports have differed since the event, the fact remains a man who had gone to watch a game of football never returned home and that is something that we can all reflect on and pray it never directly affects us. He left behind a wife and children, children who will now grow up never knowing their father, all due to events that happened at a football match. Today the people who knew John will no doubt be thinking strongly about him, but all of us can pay respect to a fellow football fan at todays game and also think about how it could so easily be someone close to ourselves who's goes to game and tragically never returns.
