Sunderland eye 'Egyptian Beckham' Al-Mohammadi as Beattie deal falters

Black Cat: Ahmed Al-Mohammadi [LNB]Sunderland have turned their attention to Egyptian right-sided player Ahmed Al-Mohammadi after talks with Stoke striker James Beattie broke down.[LNB]The Black Cats look all but certain to tie up a deal for Tottenham defender Alan Hutton and are hopeful business for Al-Mohammadi, who celebrated Africa Cup of Nations victory with his country on Sunday, will follow suit.[LNB]The 21-year-old was on the cusp of a move to Blackburn Rovers last January, with Al-Mohammadi himself admitting as much.
