Stoke in for Walters
Ipswich manager Roy Keane has confirmed that Premier League side Stoke are interested in signing captain Jon Walters.
Walters has long been linked with a move nearer his native north west, and Keane has now clarified that Stoke are keen on bringing him to the Potteries.
Keane said: "I've had lots of conversations with Stoke about Jon Walters, all summer.
"If they reach an offer that the owner feels is acceptable, then like every other player on the planet, there's a good chance he could leave.
"I think he will be with us for Saturday and if he were to leave it will be nearer the start of the Premier League season."
