Stoke given time to mull Huth appeal

Stoke have been given an extra 24 hours to decide whether to appeal Robert Huth's Football Association charge of violent conduct.

The defender was charged on Tuesday following a clash with Fulham defender Philippe Senderos in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage that was missed by match officials at the time. Stoke initially had until 6pm on Wednesday evening to respond to the charge but that has been extended until the same time on Thursday evening.

If the Potters accept the charge, Huth will miss matches against West Ham, Newcastle and West Brom, and the club will be mindful that any appeal deemed frivolous could result in an extra match being added by the FA.
