Stoke City have completed the signing of Cardiff City striker Peter Odemwingie in a player-exchange deal that has seen Kenwyne Jones move in the opposite direction.

The Nigerian had signed an 18 month contract for The Potters whilst Trinidad and Tobago Striker Jones joins Cardiff on what is believed to be the same deal, with everyone at Stoke City thanking him for his service to the club over the past four years and wishing the 29-year-old good luck for the future.

Meanwhile, Odemwingie is the third signing for Stoke this transfer window as he follows fellow striker John Guidetti and midfielder Stephen Ireland.

Stoke are also interested in signing another striker in the form of Tom Ince from Blackpool.
