Soares out to prove point

Tom Soares is determined to fight for his place at Stoke City after returning from a loan spell at Charlton Athletic.[LNB] The midfielder joined Stoke at the end of the summer transfer window from Crystal Palace, but has made just eight appearances for the Premier League club.[LNB]He has spent the past two months on loan at Championship strugglers Charlton and the 22-year-old is now back at the Britannia Stadium with a point to prove.[LNB]"I'm back and I think I've got a point to prove to myself and a few other people," Soares told the Sentinel.[LNB]Hungry"I want to be in this team, definitely, and I feel I haven't shown my best yet here at Stoke.[LNB]"I want to prove to people that the reason I came to the club in the first place is because I'm a good player.[LNB]"It was always going to be difficult coming to a big club like Stoke, with the players they've got. Everyone is fighting for a position in the team. It's about whether you want it and are hungry enough to fight for your place.[LNB]"I feel I have what it takes to get in the team, but I know I have to fight to prove that in training and in the reserves.[LNB]"I'd love to get back in this season because I want to be part of a Stoke City team staying in the Premier League."[LNB]
