Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross is heading for a dream ending to the season after a start that was the stuff of nightmares.[LNB]He was dropped by manager Tony Pulis following the opening day drubbing by Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.[LNB]It was two long months before he won his place back in the league team but since then the 21-year-old former Manchester United starlet has gone from strength to strength.[LNB]He is set to retain his place against Hull thanks to a change of attitude.[LNB]Pulis said: "Ryan has improved. He was a little bit starry-eyed at the beginning of the season. We left him out and since coming back he has been outstanding. Now and then everyone needs a rest.[LNB]"He is only a young kid, he has got to keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard. There is a lot more to come from him."
