Reading manager Brian McDermott believes his pursuit of Stoke City defender Andy Griffin is close to being concluded.[LNB] McDermott has been chasing the 31-year-old right-back since the end of last season but, despite entering talks with the Potters, progress has been slow.[LNB]However, the Royals boss now believes his quest is nearly at an end even though he admits there is still some work to do if he is to get his man.[LNB]He told the Reading Chronicle: "I'm happy with my squad but obviously I still need a right-back and everyone knows the one I want.[LNB]"It is something we're trying very hard to do. There has been dialogue between us and Stoke and the situation has to come to a conclusion at some point soon. We've still got a bit of work to do but we're hoping it will be sooner rather than later."[LNB]Meanwhile, Reading's 2010/11 Championship game away at Leicester on Saturday August 28 has been chosen for live Sky television coverage and will now kick-off at 5.20pm.
