Peter Ramage believes the example set by Stoke and Wolves can inspire Queens Park Rangers to establish themselves as a top-flight outfit.[LNB] The Hoops ended a 15-year exile from the Premier League by storming to the Championship title in 2010/11.[LNB]Last season only Blackpool were unable to avoid relegation in their first season after tasting promotion, with Newcastle and West Brom finishing in a lofty mid-table.[LNB]Former Magpies defender Ramage believes Stoke's blueprint for success should be followed to ensure that QPR's return to the top flight does not end prematurely.[LNB]"A lot of the teams that have gone up in recent years have managed to stay in the top flight, with the likes of Wolves and Stoke establishing themselves in the Premier League, so they have shown that clubs can stay up and become regulars in the best league in the world," he told skysports.com.[LNB]"The manager has previously focused on Stoke as our benchmark for next season because they've done ever so well since gaining promotion a few years ago.[LNB]"We've just got to play with a bit of freedom and enjoy it because it is going to be tough and no one is kidding themselves on that front, but we do feel that we have enough in the squad, especially if the gaffer adds to it this summer, to remain in the top flight beyond next season."[LNB]The Hoops are expected to bring in a number of fresh faces this summer, with former Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd the latest to be linked with a move, but Ramage believes keeping manager Neil Warnock on board will prove to be the club's best piece of business.[LNB]"The gaffer is an infectious guy and the way that we have played this season has been a result of his nature and the way that he has managed the team," he added.[LNB]"He has got the best out of players that were being questioned at the start of the season as to whether they were good enough.[LNB]"Players like Shaun Derry, Clint Hill and Paddy Kenny have been arguably the most consistent performers this season and that is a result of the way the gaffer has handled the players.[LNB]"The manager was a massive factor in getting this club promoted, so it was great news to hear that he will be getting another crack at the Premier League."
