Pulis won't increase Ledley offer
Tony Pulis insists Stoke will not increase their offer for Cardiff midfielder Joe Ledley after his proposed move to Celtic stalled.[LNB] The Wales international appeared certain to sign for the Hoops on Friday after passing a medical, however he has since returned to Wales sparking speculation that he is rethinking his options.[LNB]Ledley, who can play anywhere across the midfield, was quoted in the Daily Record as saying: "It's not a done deal yet. Obviously I've got a lot to think about.[LNB]"I came up to Celtic for a look around and I've been very impressed. But will I be back? We'll see."[LNB]While Celtic remain favourites to acquire his signature, Pulis, who has long been an admirer of the 23-year-old, insists he will not go out of his way to lure him to the Brittania Satdium.[LNB]Celtic have reportedly offered Ledley a four-year deal worth £25,000 a week, while Stoke's four-year offer is believed to range between £15,000 and £20,000 per week.[LNB]Pulis told thisisstaffordshire.co.uk: "As far as I was concerned, Joe had signed for Celtic and that was the end of the matter. He came and spoke to us and we left it for them to come back. It is not a case of us chasing after him.[LNB]"I think he is a decent player. He had a bad injury last year which curtailed his form and the amount of appearances he made, but we would like to have him here.[LNB]"But we have made our pitch for him, and if he wants to go to Celtic then we can't do anything about that."[LNB]Stoke had hoped the lure of the Premier League would tempt Ledley to sign, especially as Cardiff narrowly missed out on a place in the top flight following their play-off final defeat to Blackpool last season.[LNB]But Pulis claims there will be no hard feelings if Ledley does snub Stoke in favour of a move to Parkhead.[LNB]He said: "He's a lovely lad. We showed him what we have got and it is up to him to decide. If he decides to go up to Celtic then I wish him all the best."
