Stoke manager Tony Pulis believes the club are better placed to compete in the transfer market after their successful battle to stay in the Premier League. Pulis is looking to strengthen his side in the summer after they invested £27million in new players this season. He told the Sentinel: "I honestly think we will, fingers crossed, be able to step up to the next level when we are talking to players. "We are still at a low level compared to a lot of clubs in the Premier League, but I do not think we are on the bottom rung any more."
