Pulis waiting on duo

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is hopeful Andy Wilkinson and Jermaine Pennant will be fit for Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Blackpool at the Britannia Stadium. The duo are poised to return to the squad after missing the 2-2 draw at Wigan at the weekend with knee and hamstring injuries respectively. That is in no small part to the medical and fitness staff at Stoke, who fortunately have had few injuries to contend with this season. "We believe the medical side of this club is first-class, from the doctor right the way down," said Pulis in the Stoke Sentinel. "It's a really important part of the club's work in not just treating injuries, but trying to prevent them in the first place. "That's why I brought in Paul Maxwell to add to the fitness staff in the summer, and now we've got structures in place which are good for the players."
