Stoke manager Tony Pulis is saddened that FA Cup semi-finals are no longer held in venues around the country.
However he believes Potters supporters would rather play at Wembley rather than anywhere else - and those opinions must count.
Stoke face Bolton at the national stadium on April 17, but Pulis said: "I am a traditionalist and was brought up watching semi-finals at Villa Park, Old Trafford, Hillsborough and places like that. I really enjoyed it as there were some unbelievable games."
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, whose side face Manchester City at Wembley in the other semi-final on April 16, has complained that having four teams heading in the same direction is a recipe for "absolute chaos" especially as on the Sunday the London Marathon is being held and Arsenal host Liverpool.
Pulis continued: "I can understand where Alex is coming from but if you ask any of our supporters whether they would prefer to go to Villa Park or Wembley for a semi-final... that's who we are dealing with, the public.
"I am privileged to be working for a club that has got to a semi-final. The supporters aren't and we have to take notice of them.
"The chance to go to Wembley for our supporters is immense. It is the greatest cup competition in the world and that makes things extra special. They will have a great day I am sure."
