Pennock hails TP after helping save his life Tony Pulis' mountain climb up Kilimanjaro was meant to raise money to save, or prolong, lives but it nearly ended up costing one as Potters youth team coach had a pretty close brush with death on the 9,000 foot climb. The climb was complete when Pennock started suffering from the effects of hypothermia and was only saved by the grit and determination, attributes given to both mens football teams, of Tony Pulis who carried his colleague, and close friend, from the summit to the bottom in order for Pennock to receive much needed medical treatment. Pulis indicated that, due to the importance of speed during the descent and pressure involved, it was much harder coming down than it was going up the famou mountain. Pennock is now reportedly recovering well and should be back to full fitness soon.
