Pulis - Kitson has a future

Tony Pulis insists Dave Kitson has a future at Stoke despite a forgettable debut season with the club. The Potters splashed out £5.5million to sign Kitson from Reading, although injury hampered his form which in turn limited his playing time. Kitson eventually rejoined the Royals on loan for the majority of the second half of the season, but he was unable to help Steve Coppell's side make an immediate return to the Premier League. The 29-year-old is now due back at the Britannia Stadium and Pulis insists he will have no need to go out and bolster his attack in the close season if the striker can settle down and quickly find his groove. "It's smashing that Dave's coming back to a Premier League club," he told Sky Sports News. "What we want is Dave to come back, settle down as quickly as possible, get in the team and score some goals. "He scored 12 goals for Reading the year before and performed really, really well. "So if we can get him to do that then that saves us going out and adding to that one area of the team."
