Pulis hoping for good fortune

Tony Pulis hopes Stoke's luck does not desert them again as the team looks to build on their impressive start to 2010. After struggling over the festive period, the Potters go into Monday's Barclays Premier League game at Sunderland off the back of three wins and a draw in all competitions since the turn of the year. The manager is keen to stress the importance of good fortune though, something he felt deserted his team during their barren run in December. "You need a little bit of luck and a little bit of good fortune and that is what I'm hoping for, for the next couple of months," said Pulis, whose players failed to register a win in their final six matches of 2009. "(I hope) that we work as hard as we have been working, but we get a little bit more luck than maybe we have got in the past couple of months. "We have got a chance in every game we play if we play to our maximum. What we need more than anything else is a few breaks."
