Tony Pulis dedicated Stoke City's 2-0 victory over Wigan in their last home match of the season to the club's supporters.

After 68 minutes of squandered opportunities and poor execution Ricardo Fuller broke the deadlock when he evaded challenges from Emmerson Boyce, Titus Bramble and Maynor Figueroa to fire past Richard Kingson.

James Beattie headed home Matt Etherington's cross in the 76th minute to clinch Stoke's 10th victory of the season at the Britannia Stadium, form which has ensured they will have a second successive campaign in the top flight.

"They have been one of the main reasons why we have stayed up - they have made this place a fortress," Pulis said of the fans.

Belief"Even games we've lost at home, even games we've lost away they have never lost the faith and they have kept believing.

"I think they have set the standard and that has really set us apart from the others."

Pulis confirmed the 2009/2010 season is going to be a delicate balance about keeping the essence of what has made Stoke successful this campaign and finding new additions to improve the side.

The Potters boss added: "I think we have got to keep the same DNA and it's just (adding) better quality I'll work out how to do that.

"The group of players, the 11 who started today were fantastic and group that's behind them have been fantastic as well."
