Pulis denies Cole snub

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is looking to make "three or four" more additions to his squad - but has denied he has had a bid turned down for England striker Carlton Cole. There has been little in the way of transfer activity at the Britannia Stadium so far this summer, with Belgian teenager Florent Cuvelier and experienced goalkeeper Carlo Nash the only incoming personnel. Asked if there was any truth in reports that West Ham had rejected an offer from the Potters for Cole, Pulis said "none whatsoever", but the manager did confirm he is hoping to bolster his squad with several new faces. "We are not just after a striker, but three or four players if we can," he told the Stoke Sentinel. "We have money to spend, but it's got to be the right players at the right prices."
