Stoke boss Tony Pulis has stressed the importance of having three senior goalkeepers as Carlo Nash prepares to sign a one-year contract.[LNB] Pulis has been on the lookout for a reserve stopper after allowing Steve Simonsen to join Sheffield United and Nash was an obvious choice following his release by Everton.[LNB]The 36-year-old played 10 times in Stoke's promotion season from the Championship in 2007/08 and is more than happy to act as a number three having done the same for the Toffees, for whom he played just once.[LNB]Nash has now joined up with the Potters' squad in Austria but Pulis insists his arrival should not fool clubs that Thomas Sorensen could be available this summer.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I've said all along we need three goalkeepers, and three goalkeepers is what we now have.[LNB]"Thomas is very much one of those three as far as I'm concerned because of the quality and experience he gives us - and has given us for the past two years."[LNB]Pulis added of Nash: "Carlo knows us and we know him. He is a top goalkeeper who did a fantastic job for us during our promotion season.[LNB]"He was out of contract at Everton, and he is at that age where he is happy to be third choice. I know if he is called upon he will do a fantastic job.[LNB]"He has a great attitude and I am delighted he is here with us."
