Potters Take Teenage Striker On Trial
Darlington forward given 14-day chance to impress Stoke have given a two week trial to Darlington striker Michael Smith. Smith, 19, is with the Potters youngsters in Bournemouth and will spend a week with them before joining up with the first team upon their arrival back from City's pre-season tour of Austria. The striker, from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, has come through the ranks at Darlo and has netted 6 times in 36 appearances for the club.
