Potters overcome Rovers
Turkey striker Tuncay continued his fine pre-season form as Stoke beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 in a pre-season friendly at the Memorial Stadium.
The Barclays Premier League side opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Tuncay pounced at the second attempt for his fifth goal of pre-season.
But the Pirates levelled in the 45th minute when Dominic Blizzard headed into an empty net after Thomas Sorensen flapped at a corner.
There was still time for Stoke to regain the lead, Ricardo Fulller beating three defenders before rounding the keeper and slotting home.
