Potters Offer Beats as Part Ex For Long Time Target

Striker plus cash offer for Latics hitman The Potters are reportedly readying a bid of £7m, plus James Beattie, for Wigan striker and long term target Hugo Rodallega. Columbian Rodallega has been linked with the Potters for twelve months now and City came close to bagging the £10m rated striker in January. Wigan are looking to cut their cloth and the striker is the most valuable asset they have, with a ready made replacement in Beattie possibly swinging the deal in Stoke's favour. Beattie was a huge hit in his initiathe opening stages of his Potters career, netting seven goals in the second half of the 08/09 season to keep City in the top flight, after joining for £3m from Sheffield United in January 2009. Last season was a huge disaster for the burly hitman, he looked overweight, unfit, disinterested, scored in only one game all season, had a row with TP over the Christmas party, unsuccessfully attempted to sue the Potters gaffer and mainly sat in the stairs  for the second half of the season and now has Pulis desperately offering him to everyone who might want him, but refusing to let him go on the cheap which will possibly lead to a very frustrating upcoming months for Beattie if a buyer cannot be found, with him surely going to be left out of City's 25 man squad, if he is still with the Potters.
