Barnsley manager Mark Robins has further strengthened his squad by completing the double loan signing of Stoke defenders Ryan Shotton and Carl Dickinson. Both players, who came through the ranks at Stoke, are scheduled to spend the next three months at Oakwell and become the fourth and fifth new arrivals since Robins took charge earlier on September 9. Right-back Shotton, 20, spent the last campaign on loan at Tranmere and was at Altrincham the season before that. Left-back Dickinson, 22, spent a month on loan at Leeds last season.
