Stoke have broken their transfer record by bringing Peter Crouch to the club for a deal worth £12 million.

The England international signed a four-year deal at the Britannia Stadium on a day where Wilson Palacios and Cameron Jerome joined the ranks at the club.Palacios followed his team-mate from White Hart Lane and Jerome made the switch from Birmingham to play Premier League football once again.

Potters manager Tony Pulis was delighted to capture the signature of the trio of players."These signings certainly add to that great sense of anticipation." he said."There has been a real buzz of excitement around the city about where this club is going since we reached the FA Cup final and then started our Europa League adventure.

"Peter has an excellent goalscoring record at the highest level. His goals-per-games ratio for England is remarkable and he scored seven goals in 10 Champions League games for Tottenham last season, which gives you an idea of his pedigree."
