Stoke look set to send Ibrahima Sonko on another season-long loan after receiving an enquiry from Portsmouth about the out-of-favour defender.[LNB] Sonko has endured something of a nightmare since joining Stoke two summers ago, making just 16 appearances in his debut season and then being farmed out to Hull.[LNB]The 29-year-old played just nine times for the Tigers last term and has since returned to pre-season training with the Potters before being left behind as most of the squad headed to Austria.[LNB]He could now spend the final 12 months of his contract on loan at Portsmouth as Steve Cotterill looks to rebuild his squad at Fratton Park following the club's relegation from the Premier League.[LNB]Another player that could be heading out on loan again is Ryan Shotton.[LNB]The defender made 30 appearances for Barsnley last season and Tykes boss Mark Robins has now revealed his desire to take the 21-year-old back to Oakwell.[LNB]"I want a centre half who can play possibly right back," he told BBC Radio Sheffield. [LNB]"There's Ryan Shotton, so I might go back to Stoke for him. It's unusual for me to talk about it in the press but that's what I'm going to do."
