Manchester United v Stoke City: fresh doubts cast over Ben Foster's future at Old Trafford

England international Foster claimed earlier this week that he is ready to seek a move elsewhere after falling to third-choice keeper at United behind Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak. [LNB]Foster's fall from grace at United has since cost him a place in the England squad and ended his hopes of selection for Fabio Capello's World Cup party. [LNB]And despite admitting that Foster remains one of the country's brightest goalkeeping prospects, Ferguson insists that he cannot guarantee a change in the keeper's situation at Old Trafford. [LNB]Ferguson said: 'I've had a chat with Ben about that and I understand his dilemma, but there's nothing you can do about it to be honest with you. [LNB]'He is a terrific goalkeeper and we will just see what the future brings for the boy because, in my mind, he has the talent to be the England goalkeeper. [LNB]'We are conscious of that and we would like to help, but it's unfortunate that he's not had enough football to get him on that plane to South Africa.'
