Lawrence in Stoke warning

Stoke star Liam Lawrence expects it will be tougher for the club next season to stay in the Premier League. The Potters have confounded their critics to ensure survival with a couple of matches to spare after a superb debut campaign in the Premier League. Stoke could even finish in the top half of the table if they beat Arsenal this weekend and other results go their way, and Lawrence concedes the season has been a massive success for the club. "It is outrageous for little old Stoke to be doing what we are doing," Lawrence told Sky Sports News. "If we did beat them [Arsenal] and things went for us we would be in the top half. "It is absolutely unbelievable, it has been a fantastic ride this year." Asked if he expected it to be tougher next season, Lawrence added: "I think it will be. You talk about the second-season syndrome and all that. "We have just got to be careful we don't get caught cold next year and we have got to keep working harder and improving even more."
